I have a couple of guitars that are layered rosewood Japanese made. And I’m thinking of buying an HPL Martin. I’m wondering what the research says about effect on the laminate back and sides. Also I have a 50 year old Martin that hasn’t been played enough, will it improve the tone or is it too late?

I tried it on my Yamaha nylon witn laminate B/S and it helped tone down the quacky like sound from the treble strings. Also made it louder. Also improve the sound of my 1975 D28.
It will definitely improve the tone of your 50yr old Martin! We have had a bunch of guys say it has done wonders for their laminate instruments which surprised us. We haven't done any testing on any laminate guitars but I think marcel did in his test of the tone traveler.
